KORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRA. 8D I didn't know you were into Avatar!

Ahahahaa, today's the first day that I actually watched the first two eps for the first time too! I was actually really wary about Korra at first because I have this weird thing where I always like the original of anything better, but man, glad I finally watched it. It was sort of weird to see Katara so old and every time I thought about how all the original characters are mostly DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAD I got super sad and nostalgic, but I'm super happy with Korra and she is just ahhhh. I love how different from Aang she is, that and the universe (steampunk!) really made me feel like it was a new series while retaining that distinctly Avatar feel.

I can't wait to see real bending battles though (as in fights against enemies) because there's just something so organic about the fighting in Avatar that I feel probending stifles. Also Korra would be so bamf. (And Mako has so much to live up to, CAN YOUR FIREBENDING BE AS MESMERIZING AS ZUKO'S??)

I had to bahleet my Avatar icons when I downgraded sobs. But it is very much a fandom of my heart, even though I don't write for it! I didn't know you liked Avatar either!

YEAH I am kind of hoping that Toph is alive and part of the Order of the White Lotus but I do not have much hope sobs. I AGREE ON KORRA. She's got some of those wide-eyed moments too but she knows what she wants and she gets it! Steampunk and 1920s feel! so much awesome.

Pro-bending's got a bit of rules? I love how Korra was all KNOCK DUDE OVER SIDE in her first battle and they were BEEP PENALTY it was quite lulz. KORRA'S FIREBENDING IS ALREADY SO MEMERISING DAMN SHE MOVES GOOD.

Bolin is The Man and he wants you to know it. I'll fangirl him anyday~

Korra is taking a bit to grow on me. But I mark that as me being an old lady and not wanting to deal with stubborn teenagers. But I have to admit when she started to move like an air bender in the tournament, I was smiling. And I like that she and Tenzin are coming to understand each other a bit (though I doubt it will remain peaceful for long)

Naga is awesome. I love her so much.

Also, Tenzin's family kills me. I really need to meet Aang's other children since Tenzin in the reserved one. And were my ears deceiving me or did they name one of their children after Bumi?

There were definitely times when I wanted to hit Korra on the head (like when she claimed she was listening to Tenzin when she was sneaking out to pro-bending tournaments every night I see what you did there young lady) but that sort of teenage behaviour was kind of humanising so I let it slide. But I can see how it would be irritating.

She's so well-behaved! She wanted to eat EVERYTHING in that food stall but she listened to Korra when Korra said wait awwww. And hunting for fish!.

I really want to see Aang's other children! Yes one of them was named after Bumi. I THINK HE TAKES AFTER HIS NAMESAKE. I love Meelo the best of the grandkids. Head chewing and "unhand me strange woman". LOLOLOL. Jinora is awesome too. And the hugs after Tenzin was accused of being a lousy teacher!

I'm planning to watch Mouretsu Pirates! Femslashy pirates in space, I am there. I'm holding off on watching the Korra leak though because then the wait to the next episode will be so longggg

Yes watch Mouretsu! They are so femslashy WITHOUT PANTY SHOTS I don't know how that happened. And there's 10 over eps out already! If you need streaming links I can hook you up *eyebrow waggle*

Anime, cos some of the ridiculous hair colours are a bit too ridiculous in RL for me. I'm on ep 13 after stopping at 12 the last time?

Can't access the official korranation episodes as I'm not in the US - but many people have posted extremely helpful comments as to how to watch the episodes elsewhere in the world ^_~

My current anime squeeze has to be Natsume Yuujinchou - which is just ending its fourth season :) I guess I should revisit Nodame sometime! Still love the piano-full opening song!

Yeah, I was a bit bummed about that, but someone managed to extract the direct link and so I saved it out. XD

Oh man you and so many other people. The trouble is I'm looking less for anime and more for manga which I can read faster. I made the mistake of starting on Nuraihyon instead of Natsume - do you know which one is nicer? (They're both about youkai at first glance, so...)

Honestly, I don't know why there hasn't been more Korra-love on my friendslist! Gah!

I really like how Korra is Aang's opposite - "punch first, ask questions later." I am already loving how she can rattle Tenzin's cage, which is even more amazing considering that he already has three kids who no doubt have figured out how to push Mommy and Daddy's buttons. Pro-bending is a very fun idea and a clever way to make bending more relevant to a technologically advanced city.

Also, thanks so much, creators, for trolling yet again on the subject of Zuko's mother. You guys are so meeeeeeeeeean.

Can Toph still be alive? Plllllllllease?

I think it's because not everyone knows that the eps were out on Korranation? I think they are no longer there, it was only supposed to stream over the weekend.

Yeah, Aang is all non-confrontational while Korra is ALL confrontational. And she's also not very spiritual. Oh Tenzin! I lulzed at how he flew in with his youngest CHEWING ON HIS HEAD. And Korra can top that. XDXDXD

I'm hoping they went there because they're going to RESOLVE IT. DAMMIT.

TOOOOOOOOOOOOPH BE ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE you have to show all those youngsters HOW METALBENDING IS DONE. Also I think she'd support pro-bending. ;)
