I wanted to say hi and I'm thrilled to have found this group. Like everyone here, I'm a Bradbury fan. My admiration started in grade school and continues to this day. In high school I directed 451 and then as a special educator I added Bradbury stories to the sorely lacking curriculum. Apparently low reading skills meant no exposure to good ( Read more... )

I discovered this community while browsing LiveJournal earlier today. I first discovered Bradbury during my freshman year of high school when we were assigned to read Fahrenheit 451 for English class. Does anyone think they can find me a downloadable copy of the 1993 made-for-TV cartoon version of "The Halloween Tree"? It was only ever released on VHS, and since they don't make the tapes anymore, they cost about $35. I can't remember the first time I read Bradbury's work, but it was back when I was only 11 or 12. I still get shivers when I think of The Martian Chronicles or Something Wicked This Way comes.
