The rest of my life is going rather well, though. It makes it all tolerable, if annoying.

i'm at home today, having left work around noon yesterday and not gone back, due to swollen lymph nodes. i figured it was better to lay around the house and get well, rather than be at work and get sick. basically, i feel really good, but my throat is swollen. it's almost like playing hookey--and it's absolutely delicious ( Read more... )

Today, we are having the first rains of fall. It's actually quite wonderful--warm and muggy and smelling fresh. I'm at the office and we have our windows open. I can hear the cars driving on the wet street outside, which is such a rare sound here in SoCal.
