Stories are sacred. They hold immense power that can change one person, or potentially everyone who reads them--even those who don't. In stories we see reflections of ourselves. It's very hard for any writer to not write a part of themselves, or someone they love, into their stories. But more than that, when we read, we look for people like us. ( Read more... )

I used that name awhile back but then changed when Winter hit. Upon further reflection I see that that name reflects best the "brand" I'm trying to create. Bright, blessed Beltane!! It is SO GORGEOUS outside today. The temperature is up, the leaves are green and the Redbud trees (one of my favorite kind!) are in full bloom~ <3 What better day to release my first book?? :D

I've had a decent day today. Been productive. Most of the day was spent at the day job, but during down time I got a bit of editing done. I went to the park this morning to write poetry. The sun broke through the clouds casting shafts of light here and there, illuminating the grass and glinting off the river that meanders through the trees.
