Musing and apology

I've kept a mental list over the years of things that I see that make me quite sad. They're nowhere near original, or profound, they just make me think lonely little thoughts (and in certain contexts they can be quite creepy as well):

A lone balloon stuck to a ceiling.
A single shoe by the side of the road.
An animal looking out a window, waiting for ( Read more... )

musing, notices

Oooh, if I am one of said people, then you don't have to apologize. Please, don't. I understand that you are busy, I'm just happy that you can do it at all and you put up with me. Hee.

And I forgot two of my all-time favorites from endless family car trips:

Falling-down barns in the middle of fields of corn, hay, what have you so long as it's at least waist-high.

Abandoned farm equipment, pretty much anywhere.

They inspire me, lol. Don't be suprised if something like that pops up in a future idea. Yeah, I have many ideas. *Sighs*

It's been a rather maudlin week, I think it's mostly post-show exhaustion (we closed on Sunday). Plus post-move exhaustion, plus the fact we just wrapped up the quarter at work - a lot of stuff hit the fan all at once and I'm kinda drained.

Getting better, though. I've resolved to leave my laptop at work all week if at all possible so I don't bring work home with me.

Catching up on some writing (and editing) is helping, too.
