Ugg, I understand that! My rule for myself - if the costume isn't 90% done by my birthday (the end of june) (and 90% means all i need to finish are props), then it's not coming with me to dragon*con this year.
Are you dead set on the blue suit? One Ten cosplayer once told me what they did for the brown suit with the blue pinstripes was dye blue over brown fabric with white pinstripes so the white would get dyed. Maybe you could get some scraps of pinstripe fabric and do some dye tests on them to see if you can figure something out. Either way I don't even really know how screen printing would look. If I were doing something like that I'd maybe do like I did for my Kairi plaid and stitch the lines on if I just absolutely couldn't find similar fabric.
Yeah, I want to do the blue suit. I liked the blue one a lot more than the brown. Then again, I could always do season 4 (yes?) blue suit to where it's a solid blue. I'm still having trouble finding a blue suit in that shade of blue though.
Hmm...I'll see what the fabric stores have and go from there. I have tons of blue dye leftover from a costume I never did and it's dark enough to where it would work. Hmm...we shall see.
it's not the cheapest, but it's around 16.50 per yard for cotton, and other fabric weights have different prices. you can control the pattern, and it's not screenprinted: it's actually worked into the fabric.
Interesting. I don't need that much and it's way less expensive than when the other person is charging me. I just need someone to make the suit for me. Haha. I'll look into that. I'll keep looking for something else, but if all else fails then I'll order that. How cool...thanks for the link!
Yeah, they even have a linen-weight and a twill weight that could work well for a ten suit. Those a little more expensive, but you'll be able to control it.
No problem! I love that site.. I plan all the ways I can use it, but I still haven't. lol
