progress? and a question.

This is the 90% finished Kaylee "Shindig" pettiskirt. Meaning...I ran out of fabric for the very last layer!!! Seriously...one layer left. Oh wells. And hand-pleating suuuucks!!! For now I'll just work on the base for the actual skirt and am going to just suck it up and order colored chiffon rather than buy more white chiffon and dye it. Since I'm about 4 yards shy of what I need I think ordering the colored fabric won't set me back too much.
I've started working on the top as well. I only have the white fabric base so far, but now that spring is here the fabric stores are selling the pinks I need to get more work done.
This costume is taking entirely too long. I bought a ruffler foot and that didn't work. It was awful. I am going to buy a rolled hem foot for my machine this weekend in hopes that it may help a little (time-wise) so I don't need to go through the process of hemming everything (and that's a LOT of everything) by hand again.
I also have someone selling screen printed blue fabric with the rust colored pinstripes for my Doctor Who costume. Problem is they want $130 for about 5 yards of the perfect printed fabric. They did put a lot of work into it, but still well over the price range I prefer.
Now...if I get this fabric would anyone mind making the suit for me? I'd be happy to pay for your time.
And my old Mal wig totally sucks for Ten. It's too short and too wavy. Even after a good wash the waves will not go away.
Gaga will be started in May as well and fabric purchasing will begin for Mirana. I hope to accomplish a lot (cosplay) in May. DragonCon is only 4 months away and I will NOT be finishing a costume the morning I leave for Atlanta...nope nope nope. Not this year. This year everything will be done well beforehand...I hope...really...I hope.
