The Kindle "cake"

Can't say I'm enjoying e-book formatting for the Kindle. It reminds me of the time my mom was making Christmas cakes when I was a child. (Yes, believe it or not, I, who have not used my oven in 15 years, have a baking analogy!) I love the analogy. That's also been my experience trying to format any e-books. You try a bunch of settings, see how it turns out, then go back and try something slightly different and test it out. Over and over again!

I'm sure it will look and taste great in the end! :)

I think I must be weird, because I really like formatting e-books. :)

Mind you, I enjoy building websites, and e-books are essentially mini-websites with a lot of limitations.

Oh, YOU are the person that enjoys it. :-)

I'm sure experience helps. It was just a bit of a disappointment to think that I'd followed all the instructions and still ended up with a number of problems to fix. Plus, Amazon's documentation is a bit on the sparse side. :-p
