The Kindle "cake"
Can't say I'm enjoying e-book formatting for the Kindle. It reminds me of the time my mom was making Christmas cakes when I was a child. (Yes, believe it or not, I, who have not used my oven in 15 years, have a baking analogy!) She'd bought special Christmas tree-shaped cake pans, but was a bit distracted because some workmen were doing a job in the apartment, so she forgot to add eggs to the recipe. The cakes tasted great, but we had to pull the pieces out of the pans by hand, because the cakes were so crumbly. So, even though I feel like I am following the "Kindle recipe" to the letter every time, it seems like something is always missing from the final product. I will keep "baking," though, and I think the cake, i.e. Spec-tacular: Fantasy Favorites from Raven Electrick Ink, will be ready in April. :-)
