I picked up a bug in Colorado and didn't sleep very well last night becuase of it. We're starting a new course today and I'm nodding off. Bad first impression, bad. I went to bed early last night, I did, but then the phone wouldn't stop ringing

a new course?

I think its funny that you mom's cat is so unfriendly but you're getting it friendly. Is it normally cranky or is it because its surroundings have changed?

Yup, we started Database Driving Web Applications today. That translates to we started Cold Fusion today. I'm excited.

Joey is not normally very nice but she's extra upset because her surroundings have changed. Mum is the only person she's usually nice to consistantly and Mum is not here.

It's kind of a funny story actually. Mum and Derek bought a house together and they wanted to make a small change before moving in. A small change became a major renno (walls out, floors up) and got blowen entirely out of preportion. Mum gentley dropped some hints that she thought things were taking too long but Derek was too wrapped up in what he was doing to hurry up and the project just kept getting bigger instead of finished.

So Mum rented out the place they are living in now. Kind of, "BTW hon, we need to be out of here in two months." Deadlines are very effective. Unfortuantely it means that the house isn't cat ready yet. They don't really want her underfoot when there's power tools in use and stuff like that so while they're moving, she can't. I'm the solution. They're still paying for all her food and litter and stuff so I don't mind.
