She's actually wearing a harness not just a collar so if she did jump I think she would be really uncomfortable but probably okay long enough for me to get to her. Actually, she might slip out of it, since she does seem to be able to slip out of it backwards and if she fell most of her weight would be pulling in the right direction. I'm on the first floor so a falling cat would be pretty okay. She doesn't need the leash if we're off the first floor because she's smart enough not to jump.
Because of the length of the leash it starts pulling before she is close enough to the edge to jump and so I don't think that she would jump off. She was very hesitant to jump UP in the first place because of the leash.

But... If the cat jumped, wouldn't it strangle? Or it it just short enough to be strangle proof?
