You *had* to make me think about that again...mseuphratesSeptember 24 2008, 07:07:02 UTC
*sigh* They were talking about the stonehenge stuff on CNN (or was it MSNBC? I lose track...) this morning, which we were watching after the 3 hour DVR'd Heroes marathon was done (yay! Heroes!)...unfortunately I really didn't *hear* much of what they were saying 'cause m'lady was arguing with the TV the whole time. *headdesk* I think we've actually uncovered one of Euphrates' elusive "pet peeves" that she generally denies (to herself even) that she has...

Wait, you were arguing with the nooz, or with Heroes?
I have to admit I don't watch much TV nooz anymore--partly because we don't have cable/TV, partly because I can't hack the lying or the incessant commercials. (We do have a television, but it is a box upon which we watch movies.)

I wasn't arguing with anything. :) But it was the nooz. :) (Growing up, if you BREATHED wrong when my dad was watching the news, you'd better run and hide...the whole talking back to the TV thing drives me batty). :)

Ah, that makes more sense. I argue with the news all the time; unfortunately, that doesn't change what's said or printed. OTOH, fortunately, the chances of us watching the news together are vanishingly small. :)
On guy's thoughts on how they coulda built Stonehenge: http://www.theforgottentechnology.com/newpage1 With videos of him moving concrete DamnHugeBlocks with levers and other clevernesses that FolksBackThen could thunk up too.
