I've been nomming these down nonstop, but I just have to mention a couple that both delighted and surprised me:

Firefly, rush of energy: not only that each point of view was so distinct and personal, but also the way I felt River's and Wash's in my bones, as if I'd become each of them for that second.

SPN, wheat fields: I agree with Sam about corn fields. What's funny is the way those one-lane English roads with hedgerow walls don't feel the same, even though I'm always expecting a head-on collision around the next turn. Houses and trees peek over the hedge, confirming that the world is still out there. Corn is all one thing, like sod.

Re: Animorphs, I don't know the fandom, but from your miniature tragedies, it sounds rather like Sandbaggers with monsters. My heart is broken and I have no idea what's going on.
