So today is the day finally. I am curious to see how this goes down. TMZ had a post about it. It seemed to be making fun of JKR.

Read some of the testimony I just posted under the cut - it's as if she can't write at all unless they squelch the Lexicon.

Also, it says that as she was testifying, Time-Warner Stock fell $.06 a share, which I'm sure they can't afford. I guess that happened because this is seen as a negative image for WB with the fans.

I think it's going to get weirder - RDR's attorney gets to cross-examine JKR this afternoon. I will post more news as it comes out, and you can check the Wizengamot Thread on Harry Potter Network, too.

--"Mr. Vander Ark has gutted that book," Rowling, who wrote seven Harry Potter novels, told a New York court. "He has simply taken it and copied it ... It is sloppy, lazy and it takes my work wholesale."--

*lol* She makes it sound like SVA is trying to pass off the Lexicon as a Harry Potter-like fantasy novel. Er ... isn't it expected that a reference guide would "gut" the original? I mean, that's what it's for - to re-organize the information in such a way that people can easily find it when they need it! *facepalm*

And *head-desk* too! I like how he was indispenable to her and the books/movies, but now he's nothing more than a common thief. And possibly a murder too--sounds like he may have just murdered her muse, the poor dear. o_O

You know - to call the Lexicon "sloppy" and "lazy" takes some imagination all by itself. No one ever called it that before, so it's just exaggeration.

And how does it "gut" her own book, since she has so much more information that no one else has? I just don't quite understand this.
