Lupin Doll Fang-o-Rama

I don't know what to say about this one - just look at the pictures of the new Lupin Doll!!! He's not in the werewolf form, but he has fangs and looks deranged!  Or maybe he's supposed to be in a state of flux as he transforms, since he has a furry chin?

Edited to Add:  I just realized it's more like a statue or bust than a real doll, but still ( Read more... )

I think that is supposed to be Lupin either about to transform, or perhaps (given the vivid, fresh-looking scratch marks) in the final stage of transforming back. It ain't pretty, but I actually like it. It's sort of cool. I bet Josh would get a kick out of it (when not complaining it scares him, LOL). :D

Tonks is cool-looking. I like the way they made her outfit.

I can see that some kids or teens would think it was cool. There are probably some werewolf collectors out there, too.

(I mean people who collect werewolf stuff, not actual werewolves who collect. I often say my husband is actually a werewolf, but he also loves garlic, so I think it's just an act.)

I notice that Lupin also has claw-like fingernails in that figurine, while he doesn't in the other. So, it must be portraying a partial transformation.

*Ughh*
They are all soo ugly! :( How can someone approve of that? What kind of thing do they have instead of trousers? Some rock?
So this is the kind of high-quality-products Rowling approves? No wonder she doesn't like the lexicon, it's not campy enough!

It's definitely not something I would buy, since it's not really a doll. I can't imagine having a shelf in my house with that thing on it. *lol*

OMG, that actually made me laugh out loud! :D
I actually don't like any of the busts they've put out; I don't like that they're based on the actors playing the roles.

I know people buy and collect these things . . . I just don't know why. ;)

Yeah, they're really not my thing, either. I agree, though, it would be nicer if they were an original artist's rendition - that would be of more interest to me.

w00t! Dual Lupins!

I do think the dolls look kind of ugly, but maybe it's just the lighting.

Tonks' blank look is funny. :P

I think the Lupin-Fangs would be hideous under any sort of light, but that's just me, lol.

"Tonks' blank look" - mahahahaha - now that you mention it, she does have that Barbie-esque blankness in her eyes.

This is not a good day for the Lupin family, lol.

*Hides Eyes* What in the world is that? *lol*

Doesn't look like Lupin at all and Tonks looks like a man.

*lol*

The details on Tonks' clothes are nice, but the red coat sort of clashes with the purple hair. It looks like someone colorblind designed the doll.

Maybe Tonks is supposed to be colorblind... ;-)
