So Dick Cheney Got a Heart Transplant and ........

Mar 26, 2012 05:08

For readers in other countries: Dick Cheney was the scariest Vice President we ever had. I still remember watching his speech in which he personally "announced" that we were going to war with Iraq in a completely dead voice as if we were sending soldiers off to a picnic. Cold as a zombie, that man, with a voice like Voldemort. Which explains why so ( Read more... )

well, weird things have happened to people after receiving heart transplants including personality changes - though that implies a personality was there to change in the first place.

Wouldn't it be great if Cheney really did have a Grinch-at-the-top-of-Mt. Crumpet moment and he became just a nice old man? Nahhhh - never going to happen! LOL

.... and I think of all the young people on that list who probably have souls who missed out on a heart transplant...

I know - how did he get bumped up on the list? :( Privilege and pulling strings.

Taking the risk of being thought a Cheney apologist--the old fart has been using a heart pump for 20 months while waiting for a heart so I don't think there's any bump-up involved. Of course, the fact that he had the heart pump is surely a sign of privilege also.

He only got the heart pump because he has Cadillac insurance from the US Gov't because he was really the president vice president. Your average Joe could never have afforded it.

And I'd have been perfectly okay with him staying on that damn thing for the rest of his unnatural life. Shame on him for taking a healthy heart away from someone with a soul.

He probably got it because Andrew Breitbart left him his.

OMG - you're probably right! That is . . . if Breitbart really had one, too. I used to give people the benefit of the doubt about how evil they actually are, but I've heard enough hatred and ignorance the past few weeks to make believe that Death Eaters are real, and that Cheney was probably the one who put the Dark Marks on his followers.

While I wish Cheney the individual person all the best in his recovery, so far as Cheney the public persona/policy maker goes.....I marvel that he now finally has a heart. What a new experience for him.

It's almost impossible to feel sorry for someone who never cared about the general populace or anyone serving in the military or anyone in other countries. That just about covers all the people in the world. And since he never showed any empathy for other human beings, it should come as no surprise that people are quick to joke about his resemblance to a demon, a vampire, the Grinch, the Tin Man, Darth Vader, or Lord Voldemort. In fact, it's just not a stretch to think of him that way.
