Dan Radcliffe Says He Would Play James Potter in Remake

I found this quote amusing on a number of levels. :)

"I like the idea that if the films were ever remade I could play Harry's Dad. I like that idea. That would be a nice way of still paying homage to the series but not having to do ten months of filming."
~ Daniel Radcliffe to Rolling Stone/ABC Via Snitchseeker

Yeah, because the fact is, James doesn't ( Read more... )

Adrian Brody. Or Eric Balfour.

Snape... That's a hard question. Made harder for me by the fact that my Snape would probably be Conrad Veidt, who died in 1943. LOL.

I almost think they would have to find a young unknown actor. I honestly look forward to seeing future Snapes. :)

No idea who would play Snape, but I for one hope they leave it about twenty years and then re-make the series as a TV show, rather than remaking the films. I mean, just imagine all the wonderful detail they could include. And by that point it would be a way to get a whole new generation of fans interested in Harry Potter.

TV serie?
could be a goood idea, unless it's kept from the claws of HBO.
they tend to mangle a story completely.

I would like it as a TV series too, or even animated.

future Snape? from this generation younger actors?
Jamie Bell
he has the face and the nose, but would need stilts, because he a little bit shortish.

btw just above this there is appearing an add for Starwars 3D,
how about selling the same fish twice, once fresh, once frozen.

Um - what makes everyone think Snape is so tall? Alan Rickman is tall, but Snape, as written, is not. He is never once described as tall. I think he's about average height, or short-average, and quite slight. It doesn't take much, after all, to loom over a bunch of 11 and 12 year olds!

As to the actor - no idea. I would hope that, if they do film it again, they would cast someone young enough. Rickman was noticeably too old and too heavy.

the whole bunch of Snape's year; Lilly and the Maraunders was cast too old as it turned out. I don't think JKR gave clear indications at the start about their age, the canon fact that they were from 1960 and therefor in their early 30-ties did not come before a few movies were already shot.
For a more matching Snape try to image Obadiah Slope from Barchester Chronicles with long greasy hair :-)
