I've been having a conversation (well, okay, an argument) with someone who insists that if Snape had been more charming and willing to lie when he was a boy ~ more like James, perhaps - he might have become more sociable and had a better time, and this might also have "cured" his introverted personality.

I was originally going to do an essay about Marauders fan art because I've noticed that many people are leaving Peter completely out of the group these days. Or he's only there as a rat (which should have given his friends some clue about his true character years before it did). And also, if you look around, James is almost always drawn with this smirky face that is just plain unattractive or even scary - especially the way he looks at Lily. But after a day of collecting pictures, I was ready to gag, and decided the "Sex Raid" phenomenon was even more bizarre.

That these fans can't simply discuss why they love their favorite character. They have to go out of their way to trash another character and that character's fans.

Yes, even on that Facebook Page about James being overlooked in the love department, every other post has to mention that the evil Snape fans don't appreciate him. *lol* And why should we?

...wat? Whether he's "cool" in the slang sense is in the eye of the beholder, I suppose, but in this phrase the meaning of "cool" is more similar to "calm and collected". And I just... where are they getting this about James? Never mind whether you like him or not; this is plain inaccurate.
