I CAN'T WAIT!! Is it July yet? I think watching Alan Rickman is going to be worth the wait however.

I'd love to know more about Harry's reaction to it all. Likely will have to wait until July for that though too! :)

Me too - I'm intrigued! I remember that Dan Radcliffe said in one interview that he felt the Pensieve scene with Prince's Tale might be the most important scene in the series.

I want to see him with Albus Severus, too. :)

I know - that's the one thing I'm baffled about. I remember that Jason Isaacs said in an interview that they first filmed him with make-up (blood? dirt?)and that he played a larger role in the action. But in the end they had changed their minds. Same thing with Tom Felton - he said they filmed several Harry/Draco scenes different ways with either Draco as a good guy or bad guy.

But running away? That doesn't even sound like the Malfoys we know and love.

Yea I read the same interview. And Tom recently said how Draco and Harry help each other out a lot in this one...I call shenanigans on this one. How dare they?! That really disappoints me, like quite a bit because I love the Malfoys and to have all their scenes cut pretty much, upsets me.

And, I still dont get the Wormtail thing...did he like, get killed by Dobby or what? Cuz he's not seen at all apparently, or it just wasnt added yet. Ugh, I confused. Well, some scenes may not have been shown if they required plenty of FX, so maybe that's why some obvious stuff was left out. I'm not going to pass too much judgment yet.

And they've done well where Snape's concerned, so the rest of the film can pretty much be crap as long as those scenes remain the same.

I'll miss the Malfoys, but I concur on your final point, LOL.

Same reaction as when I read the first hint of 'The Prince's Tale' - I am incredibly moved by Snape's story. At last!

".... even young James Potter seems to have been captured the way Snape's character remembers him from the book. "
Whoever is responsible - I love you for this.

Now I can honestly say I can't wait for July, after too many meh reactions after seeing much of the series.

Oh yeah - I'm already planning to see it on opening night and then again the next day. I honestly cannot wait. It's going to be so much more fun knowing that AR and Snape are elevated.

Yesterday when the first reports came out, it was like the Hallelujah Chorus was playing inside my head, LOL. Finally! At last! Alan Rickman gets to do some major acting and they do Snape's backstory justice!

And as far as some people saying he might seem like a "creepy stalker" in the movie? Well, I think some people are going to think that way no matter what, because they are negative people who hate just about everything.

I think the people that will consider him a "creepy stalker" will pretty much be the same ppl that thought he was creepy and obsessed in the book. Some will just never be convinced.

Their only knowledge of "unrequited love" is someone stalking someone cuz they won't go out with them. They only see it as weird, not tragic.

Haters gotta hate, bless the vacuums where their hatey little hearts should be. As for the rest of us, this is what we've been saying all along, the movies have finally validated it.

So if they're showing James pick on Snape and dance with Lily- um is that the teenage James/Lily?

I am confused.

I don't know if we have a teenage Snape/Lily. Maybe they just show Snape from behind watching the two adult James/Lily actors twirl and dance as they do in Harry's photograph from GoF and OotP?

BWAHAHAHAHA! I laughed so many times, reading this review and imagining some of my favorite Ignore List members watching the movie this summer. I hope they do keep all the Snape...I hope the test audience as a whole are agreeing with everyone quoted here (those being the best 6 monutes for the movie).
