HERE This news comes from dreyesbo who
Posted on Chamber of Secrets a quote from the Mexican magazine Cine Premiere and translated it to English. (He thinks it may have originally been in English, then translated to Spanish, then back to English, so there are a few questions. But it's all good because

I will if it bothers you, but my last post about this was also not behind a spoiler cut either. I waited to talk about this subject until it was confirmed in the press, but the rumor has been around for months, and I'm sure it will be a major topic in the coming year.
My position on spoilers is that WB is saturating every website with clips anyway. But it is true that Snape's death happens in the second film which won't be out until next year. Not sure if I can keep my whole friends list from being spoiled until then, but I'll be more aware of the problem.

Very mixed feelings - on the one hand it still rankles how much of the character was cut out of the film series, but the art director's comment was wonderful - a sort of unwitting affirmation of Snape as tragic hero who dies for the cause in an extremely good way in a romantic setting. I guess if he had to die, this was the way to go, far better than the Shrieking Shack and it's association with the marauders.
I'm still going to need a supply of tissues, though.

I think this is the second person from the technical staff who has commented on the drama of Snape's death scene. So I'm really pumped about this. They are giving it a more elevated position than in the book and setting Snape apart from the rest of the characters who die in the battle, so that makes me happy.

It sounds as if Harry watches from somewhere ELSE!
How is he going to get the memories? And we can then forget about the "Look at me" line if Harry is only viewing the scene from another location (kind of like scrying?) -- Hwyla

I'm not sure what it means as this is a translation from the Spanish. It might mean they built a glass version of the Boathouse so they could film the action from outside. This guy was talking from an art direction standpoint, and mentions a greenscreen being behind them. I'd love to see a picture of the set, which we know many people from websites visited.
There's more than one way to get to the boathouse, according to the OotP game shots. Harry and Hermione could watch through a window, through the roof, from the rocks above, or from one of the boats if they are hidden. I don't know - I think it will be clearer by next year.
