This news comes from dreyesbo who Posted on Chamber of Secrets a quote from the Mexican magazine Cine Premiere and translated it to English. This does sound interesting. I am all for the change providing that it contributes positively to Snape's death. He deserves a good death, considering that his importance his in films has been ignored.

It really annoys me that JKR was so adamant regarding the importance of Kreacher to the final story, but she never bothered to tell them about Snape and allowed them to marginalize him . . .

That's a really good point. I doubt that they were ever going to write Snape completely out of the last two movies, but they left out much of the foreshadowing and nearly all of the classroom scenes. That is one of my pet peeves - no Potion Classes in any movie except the first one and HBP. This is a story about school after all, but at least they gave us a long study hall with Snape in OotP.
