I also found this episode didn't work for me as well as he last couple of episodes. I think, maybe, I had really high expectations for the humour potential of the episode, and it didn't make me laugh as much as I expected.

I loved the Cameron crush confession. And that pie seems to be an all consuming passion in Smallville Kansas... :-)

I really liked Cam's mother and her reaction to Vala, and how she told Vala that she was young in the 1960s and how then Cameron was all "aaah, I'm not hearing this!" It reminded me of my reaction when my parents overshared.

At the same time, you have to wonder why Cam would choose to leave Vala alone with his parents. I mean, that's a disaster just waiting to happen.

Cam's parents were awesome.

I also liked Darryll(?), Cam's clueless friend.
