Yes. Anyone can click on their own profile to see tweets that refer to them :)

If your tweets are private, I don't think so. Not 100% sure though..

The answer is NO they cannot see it if your profile is set to private. This is the main and only reason I went public.

ITS STUPID, I wish they wouldn't do that.

DAMN... that blows.

I should just make another random account to use for shit like contests and harassing celebs.

Yep, and apparantly a lot of people who try to contact me via twitter never reach me, the same counts for DMs. (I have a lot more people following me than I follow, and many of them have their stuff set to private so they can @ me as much as they'd like, I won't see it.

Also fyi, twitpic is always public for as far as I know. Don't post nude pictures therre :P

LOL crap should take those off twitpic then! ;)

Man that really sucks... you'd think there could be a way around that :/ I don't want just anyone reading my tweets or spammers trying to friend me all the time but on the other hand I'd like to be able to @ people who may not follow me! :(

No. I found this out when I tried to win the Jeep giveaway. I eventually just unlocked my feed and I keep a close eye on who follows me and remove the scammers/spammers.

It's kinda shitty =\

The main reason I keep mine locked is because of work. I don't want a co-worker to find my twitter or facebook, both are locked up tight!

I know a couple of people who have gotten in trouble for posting about work on twitter or facebook.
