[Taichi’s face pops into the screen. He does not look happy, and he’s furiously poking buttons.]

Man, how does Koushiro do this stuff? So many stupid buttons…

[He notices that the recording function has started, and grins triumphantly.]

Yeah! Knew I could get this thing working! . . . How long has this thing been recording? Oh, whatever! [The ( Read more... )

....... I don't think you're in the world you think you are anymore. [Let alone the same cartoon show. What is it with this place?]

((ooc: Don't worry, Misaki isn't likely to 4th wall anyone here because of how skeptical he is about all this as it is. |D))

. . . Wish I could say that's the first time someone's told me that. [Slight sigh.] But! There are digimon here! So... its gotta be the digital world, right?

((ooc: Oh man. He's seen digimon? xDD))

[.... The people that show up here must all be crazy or something...]

Look, these are not Digimon. They're Pokémon. It's something completely different, believe me.

((ooc: Well, even if he's never watched the TV show, the likelihood of him playing at least one of the games is relatively high. Digimon is still quite popular in Japan, y'know!))

. . . Pokemon still sounds like a kind of Digimon, what's the difference?

They can't talk. I think that's a pretty big difference right there. And you can have a lot of them, but you have to catch them first.

Wait, wait, wait. You know about Digimon, but you don't think these are Digimon?

Oh, uh, well... You! You're the one that mentioned how they could talk, right? You're the one that gave me the idea! [Whoa! That may have been bad...]

But... but yeah, these definitely aren't Digimon.

Oh, right! Sorry, forgot.

So, if they're not digital monsters... What kind of monsters are they?

[Misaki just gave himself a mental pat on the back. Nice save!]

Pokémon, pocket monsters. Still monsters, but you keep them in the Pokéballs and those can shrink to fit in your pocket.

. . . I'm supposed to put Charmander in a ball? One of these things? [He fishes Charmander's pokeball out of his bag and holds it up.]

[Misaki nods sagely.] That's right. That's a Pokéball. We use them to hold Pokémon. Trust me, you'll need it.

[Just then Sunkern jumps up from out of nowhere onto Misaki's shoulder and gazes into the PokéGear, curious.] O-of course, some stay outside of their Pokéballs.

How does it... fit in there? [Taichi, you've been in a world made of data, why does this surprise you?]
