I apologize if this distracts from those positively awful things going on in that jungle, but I dare say we could use a bit of a distraction, no? If no pon- ah, person minds, I'd like to ask a question of you non-ponies out there
( Read more... )
Yeah. Goes with the whole delicate sensibilities thing. I don't get it myself since everyone pretty much has the same thing, but... [ Shrug. Humans gotta love them and their weirdness. ]
Oh bloody hell maybe back in the sixties. Do not start making a tartan clothing line. Couldn't take much of it seeing it on one person back home. Anything else is fine.
I can't imagine having it on all the time. It looks so heavy! Just imagine the calluses that could come from that sort of thing. Do you have that sort of problem?
If I'm going to be stuck here, I feel that I must lend my talent with design to the everypony - pardon me, every human. But human fashion seems so very different from pony fashion, and I need somewhere to start.
That might be somewhat difficult when you consider that human fashion differs between worlds and even countries. Still, there do tend to be at least some similarities across the board, such as the existence of pants versus skirts and robes and varying sleeve lengths on shirts.
I may have underestimated the sheer amount of worlds all you humans come from. Some of the clothes types are the same, though I have noticed an unusual amount of belts on some people. Is that natural?
Well, I, um, where I come from there's all kinds of clothes. M-most of us wear things that are practical though, since, uh, since everyone was m-members of an army so they were, um, wearing things that would p-protect them from..um...
Well, there were a few attempts to take over several countries and, well, there was this man that tried to summon dragons back into our world...b-but overall, it wasn't so bad, um, most places! M-my best friend was a noble, so really we were just caught always in the middle. Ah! I-it's very peaceful now, though!
Some of the c-cloth armor was really, um, elaborate. There was a l-lot of embroidery with metallic threads, and most, um, of the armor was brightly painted. It was really beautiful.

Um, I think that would depend on what you consider drab... I mean, to others it might not be.

Drab. So part of the tartan family. Have enough sense not to touch it at least.

Tartan is rather popular, isn't it? I don't suppose the Malnosso would share any fabric with cute prints instead. Stripes and the like are so boring.

[She shakes her head.] Absolutely not! My first line for humans needs to say and do so much more than that.

[Back home, anyway. And Ven's not the most fashion-savvy, so that's the first thing that comes to mind.]

T-they weren't drab though! Everything was, erm, really colorful. A-and sparkling!

Sparkling, colorful armor certainly sounds like an improvement on some of the armor I've seen. I think I'd prefer something like that.

Wow, that sounds exquisite! Metallic thread can be so difficult to work with. I wish I could see what that armor looks like.
