Well, I, um, where I come from there's all kinds of clothes. M-most of us wear things that are practical though, since, uh, since everyone was m-members of an army so they were, um, wearing things that would p-protect them from..um...

T-they weren't drab though! Everything was, erm, really colorful. A-and sparkling!

Everyone was a member of an army? My goodness, was it terribly violent there?

Sparkling, colorful armor certainly sounds like an improvement on some of the armor I've seen. I think I'd prefer something like that.

Well, there were a few attempts to take over several countries and, well, there was this man that tried to summon dragons back into our world...b-but overall, it wasn't so bad, um, most places! M-my best friend was a noble, so really we were just caught always in the middle. Ah! I-it's very peaceful now, though!

Some of the c-cloth armor was really, um, elaborate. There was a l-lot of embroidery with metallic threads, and most, um, of the armor was brightly painted. It was really beautiful.

Dragons?! Oh, that would've been awful! Dragons can be such vicious beasts. I do hope you and your best friend are out of danger now. Are they here?

Wow, that sounds exquisite! Metallic thread can be so difficult to work with. I wish I could see what that armor looks like.

It was p-pretty awful...but both of us are safe n-now. I d-don't know if you've met Lyn, but...She, um, she actually arrived here before I did.

Well, I wear s-some light light armor, and Lyn wears cloth armor around m-most of the time. Hers is a lot more decorative than mine, erm, since hers has embroidered t-trim...

I'm glad you're alright. I hope things have gotten much better for you since then. [A pause.] I can't say I've met Lyn, but I haven't been here for much more than a month.

Do you find that cloth armor is still effective? I can't imagine designing all those metal things, but it might be fun to try making some armor that's both chic and functional! And that embroidery...
