Gabrielle is out walking, without any particular destination. There is a bag slung over her shoulder containing the sign she has made for Zara, which she intends to deliver eventually, but for now she is simply exploring the grounds, enjoying herself. She carries one of her own fans, an elaborate creation of cream-coloured silk, lace, and ribbon.

"Hey, kid." And it's Spade, there as if nothing had happened, as if he hadn't been gone for a week, as if the circumstances hadn't radically changed since last they spoke. He smiles a bit. "Looks like you're having a good time."

"I am." She smiles. "I always do, when I've any say in the matter." She seems largely unconcerned at not having seen him recently, although whether it is truth or affectation is anyone's guess.

"That's a refreshing way to be. And it seems like you're managing, for now." He tilts his head. "What're you up to?"

"Nothing in particular, though eventually I have a delivery to make."

Recently engaged, Paul is wandering the gardens, and smiles broadly at seeing the fan-maker. "Hello, Gabrielle."

[rareradiance]

"Hello!" Her manner is bright, cheerful, pleased with the world today -- an enormous difference from the weariness and sorrow when she first came here. "What have you been up to? I haven't seen you for some time." There's no reproach; it's only an observation, not an accusation.

"You're cheerful today. But yes, I've been busy." He smiles warmly, stepping closer to touch her chin. "And you?"

"Hard at work," Gabrielle replies, although it's clear her work is anything but a burden to her. "I was making a sign for a seamstress in return for some dresses. She made this one." She can't help being pleased with it, although it's been a while -- Zara's is excellent work, and it would be difficult to tell the dress has been altered and was not originally made for Gabrielle, the fit is so good.

Nan is currently sprawled out under a tree, but gives a cheerful wave and sits up. "Well, hello there."

"Hello!" Gabrielle smiles brightly.

[kent_mermaid]

Nan stands and bows, looking amused. "What have you been up to, then?"

[rareradiance]

"Working on my fans, mostly -- and a sign for a seamstress. And yourself?"

We'll just note that Zara is at her house, and there Gabrielle will find her.

Eventually Gabrielle will find her way to Zara's door and knock, and patiently wait, humming a bit of song quietly.

[russet_goddess]

Zara, with a few nasty words, goes to the door and opens it for her. "H'lo."

[rareradiance]

"Hello. I've finished your sign." She's smiling, clearly pleased with herself.
