Episode 190 - Bomber in the Summer

Feb 16, 2011 21:18

It appears to be summer in Angel Grove, and don't ask how this timeline works, because seriously, Angel Grove isn't just its own country, it has its own weird sense of time as well. But Ernie is taking advantage of the heat to open up a side business by opening a beach club.

Unfortunately, it appears that Angel Grove has a biker gang, and they don't particularly like the idea of people using their beach. You can tell that they're bad because one of them popped a wheelie.

Jason and the Rangers are all "We are tough" but the biker gang isn't having it, and neither is Ernie, who just doesn't want any trouble. I keep wondering where the police are, and then I remember this is Angel Grove and that's how this works.

The bad girl on the back of a guy's bike makes eyes at Jason, and she has a significant necklace.

Meanwhile, Rito and Goldar are doing their work for Rita and Zedd, which involves shooting a rocket at the Machine Empire which turns out to be a monster named Louie Kaboom, who is very annoying. They lose the remote control and make Bulk and Skull look for it while Louie Kaboom tries to take things over within the Machine Empire.

At the Juice Bar, the Rangers are very sad that they can't use their powers for personal gain to stop the biker gang, when significant necklace girl (Emily) comes in, and Jason immediately recognizes her as the biker girl, and figures that if Tommy can ditch him for a blonde, he might as well do the same. So he uses his powers of looking concern and inspirational speeches to convince her to take a walk with him, where she tells him a sob story about being the new girl and having no other friends. They promptly run into Louie Kaboom who turns the significant necklace into a monster. Jason tells Emily to run, and she does, while Jason tries to take on the monster on his own. How this is different than Rocky last episode, I have no idea.

Anyway, the other Rangers show up and there's a fight, and Billy manages to rewire the remote and everything is boring while Jason goes to fight cogs.

Back at the beach club, the biker gangs feel guilty because of how Jason saved Emily, and now Emily works for Ernie and everyone is happy and this is COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS.

Fish: 3.5. I'm sorry, doesn't Angel Grove's police department do anything?

Fic we want: Jason and Tommy talking about being the sixth ranger and having to run off while the regular team does stuff. Also, Jason and Emily are totally Sky's parents. YOU KNOW THIS IS TRUE.

season 4: the adam/tanya show, 3.5 fish, centered on: jason
