i have to say i don't like skins because of the ott drug taking and alcohol drinking scenes. i started liking skins in the first place because it was different to other teen dramas and it made for good escapism tv, to a point. cassie's episode in series 1 sold the show to me.

some girl on tumblr thought the 1st episode of series 5 was unwatchable (it's funny though cos she posted a youtube video of her and her friends watching it) and thought people that liked it was brainless. cue eye rolling. skins usa is more unwatchable. i'm not completely sold on the new generation as i really liked most of the generation 2 cast despite series 4 being a trainwreck. hopefully your enthusiasm will wash off on me.

Lololol unwatchable is so over the top. I think it's a great, refreshing gen and I'm really quite happy with the eps so far.

I hope it stays this way so you can grow to love it too XD

yeah, for someone who dislikes it she sure gave it a lot of attention. on tumblr she was all "i'm going to unfollow anyone who mentions or praises skins". heaven forbid someone isn't on the hater train. i don't care for mini so i'm not looking forward to her ep but grace stands up for herself in one of the clips on e4.com so that will be good.

I loved the first two eps a lot more than basically all of the previous season. Newsflash: there are teenagers who party without being comatose, homeless or schizophrenic as a result of it. I love that they focus more on characterisation this time around. And Rich, Grace and Franky are just too precious for words.

I've just been watching Skins series 5 on youtube and loving it! <3 I thought it was very well done. Very artfully done and meaningful. And OMG, I love Grace and Rich and I'm so shipping them now, and wanting to smack Rich upside the head for not just responding to Grace's text and asking her out right then and for originally discounting Grace because she's not "metal ( ... )

i basically agree with everything you said. rich should have just sent her the text. that would've been less embarrassing than asking her out face-to-face. idk if i should say this but grace stands up to mini and liv in the next episode but who knows how far that will go.
