Hmmm, the whole thing about darkness is very Lord of the Rings, don't you think.
Everyone knows that Ankh-Morpork is built on Ankh-Morpork. And that is also built on Ankh-Morpork, which is built on Ankh-Morpork, and so on. But eventually, just like everything else eventually is, Ankh-Morpork is built on dirt and clay and mud. So it's basically New New New New New New New New New New New New New New New Ankh-Morpork? ;-)
LOL, Archimedes and Wilson being chased by a dwarf. Why do I have the feeling that this is only the beginning of a very long day of running for their lives?
Hmmm, the musician and the oven - very mysterious... Why am I thinking about The Pied Piper and Hansel and Gretel?
Hmm... now that I reread it, yeah, I guess it is. Baelrog time! I believe the Discworld book my co-author is referencing is Thud! though, which deals very much with the Dwarven underground mines below Ankh-Morpork, some of the eerie-ness that lurks there, and a lot of their culture. If you ever get around to reading the books, you'll find half of our lengthy monologue-type exposition for Discworld closely mirrors similar paragraphs in the source material. Because it's hard to be as weird as Discworld
