I have yet to understand why the most common phrase in unimaginative-creak-writerdom is "tongues battling for dominance." All I know is it cracks me up no end ( Read more... )

I think my personal favourite is 'he (and it's generally he not she) plundered her mouth' - It sounds like he's going to steal her fillings. (Possibly as spoils of war after the tongues have finished battling?)

I love the glove thing, I always say that.

Three minutes later and I'm still laughing.
