Did ya hear that there was a convention this weekend? Well there was and it was an AMAZING hit. DREAMATION moved like a well oiled machine and I honestly can't think of anything going wrong once the convention open (now printing… damn you Mr. Printer taking hours to print 700+ badges. It should be instantaneous!)

Some highlights:

Although I didn't feel so well when I got home, what this weekend *did* do is make me want to write a new convention LARP (and not just the idea I floated by Avie, but just wanting to write LARPs in general).

Now I just need to solidify down to two workable ideas and then move forward.

Great to see it still going strong!

Do y'all still do the fanfare for Chocolate Heaven, or was that only for Sugarfest? ;)

Hi Kate! It was great to finally meet you.  As you probably are well-aware, I have a deep and abiding affection for Vinny and Avie and now you. As fate would have it, my very first gaming experience was DexCon2 (July, 1993). I originally came to chaperone my two sons, Matt and Evan, then 13 and 10, who very much wanted to attend. Over the years, I have since attended many other conventions, …some much larger, like Origins and GenCon, …and many much smaller. But for me, nothing compares to Double Exposure, and DexCon is the gold standard for me. DexCon is the standard by which I measure all other conventions, ...and usually find them lacking. More than the vast array of games and activities (the variety of which can be amazing), the con suite and special parties (which are very yummy), it is the people of Double Exposure that makes Double Exposure Conventions truly unique. It is no accident that some of the dearest people to me are friends I have made at Double Exposure cons. Anyway, I was really glad to finally meet you at ( ... )
