I just finished my cd, while I was thinking about it. I'll leave it somewhere on the way to work tomorrow.

Hmm, forgot about this community. WEll, time to start her back up!!!

So, as the damnportlanders board says, it's free music thursday, so... Let's make this something we do as well.

1) make a CD (no MP3's)
2) write down the play list
3) write FREE MUSIC THURSDAY on it
4) leave it somewhere
5) keep your eyes peeled for other people's discs

i made a mix cd. i'll drop it off around the cherry tree behind lincoln highschool tomorrow morning. tis tres jolie.

Hey all, thought I would "poke" this group. :)

...something that was found. My roommate found somebody's therapy notebook at a bus stop this summer. Whether they left it there on purpose for someone to find, left it there on purpose to be rid of it, or accidentally left it, I don't know. We never did read the whole thing. It seemed far too voyeuristic, being inside somebody else's pain like

I've been leaving things for people to find since I was five and decided other people could get more joy out of the pennies I'd leave on the sidewalk than I would.

From there I make a point to pick up books at garage sales and goodwill stores and write a little message to whomever finds them. Usually the message is something like this:

If you want to "drop" something, but don't know what, maybe hit up a used bookstore. I stop by Cameron's on a regular basis, and browse through there cleareance section. Today I found a copy of "Hamlet" for 35 cents. I'll drop it either at the street car stop on 23rd ave or the bus stop in front of Papa Hayden's (also on 23rd) sometime tomorrow

Funny how that lil' acronym has been cropping up in my life, lately. One of my coworkers has turned so positive as of late, trying to perform a "random act of kindness" instead of being the angry, sour man he was when I first met the guy ( Read more... )
