Yay! Shinichi/Ran cuteness! X3 I can picture all of this so easily. XD The details are done wonderfully, showing what's happening, and everyone is in IC, as usual. ^^ I love them both yelping "We're just friends!" and then saying different things to each other when they're alone.

Is it my imagination, or did you post a small part of this before, the part right before the fangirls show up? Just wondering whether I'm having deja vu. XD;

The fangirl part was priceless, BTW! LOL, yay Ran! I love when she steps in and breaks the pole, and Shinichi confirms that she's his girlfriend.

The last line is very sweet. ^^

Thank you so much, yet again, for all your sweet comments. As usual, I was so worried that they weren't IC, or that the details were lame, or that the idea was recycled, etc. I'm so glad you liked it.

Oh no, I don't think you've ever used this concept before. It's just that the scene where he almost kisses her seems so familiar, and I wondered if maybe you'd posted that part as a test, or if you wrote that scene for someone and then built a whole fic around it. More than likely, it's just me having weird sensations again. XD **has deja vu with some frequency.**

Aww, you're sweet! Though I know I've never used this plot before, there was an almost-kiss a few chapters ago in "Warmth in the Falling Leaves". Maybe you're thinking of that?

Btw, there's a Heiji/Kazuha fic I promised someone that should be ready soon, so stay tuned!

Lovely work, as always! What I love about this story was that their relationship started very casually, not like a huge spectacle of declarations of love (not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's nice for a little change). And to make things even better, Ran owned a pole. Because, let's face it, in the manga, her temper is far more sharp than in the anime. ^__^.

For some reason, I <3 those fangirls. I don't know much about them since I was content to keep them superficial, but I'm charmed by their weird idea that they own Shin'ichi and have the final say in his life. And our darling Ran . . . a lethal weapon in a skirt. Okay, not quite, but this was inspired by the kidnapping case where Ran gets uber-jealous and breaks down a door. XD

It's so hard not to fret over my work. Since the fretting pushes me to revise and revise, maybe it's like a leaky faucet that won't stop dripping after I've shut it off? (Plz to get me a plumber.)
