5 posts a week for a year, exclusively about The Fray? Is there a word requirement or limit you'll be expected to stick to per day? Have you seen their projected advertisement revenue for the next year in order to extrapolate your cut? Sure, 40% sounds pretty good for just writing but if the revenue per month is next to nothing and you're contractually obligated to write a certain amount... well... just make sure you're getting a fair deal before you sign anything. You'll be brilliant at it, but make sure it's fair.

It is exclusively about The Fray, which seems a bit much, but after looking at some of the other music blogs there doesn't appear to be a word requirement/limit (none was mentioned in the contract either) and looking over The Fray's website, it doesn't seem like it'd be all that difficult to get new information on them-- especially when they'll be on tour until the end of the year at least.

As for revenue, there doesn't seem to be any useful information on the site, so I e-mailed my contact to see if he could give me some projected numbers.

Yeah depending on what expected revenue is will mean a lot, and double checking on length requirements would be my main concern. But otherwise sounds like a very awesome job :)

Ah, I response:

How much our bloggers make is usually dependent on their subject. It ranges from 1.00 to 100.00 dollars on average.

I think that sounds pretty cool. Remember that you and I need to hang out a little this term :)

That sounds awesome!
As long as it wouldn't be too much on top of school work, that would be a cool job. You might want to find out how much money 40% of advertising revenue is, though. Figure out if it's worth it, for the ammount of time you'd spend writing.

Check out 451 Press. There's a simple application form to fill out, if you're interested.

That really DOES sound great. I agree that I'd like to know my projected income before I would commit to such a thing, though. After all, you're a little work-a-holic when it comes to school.
