Prestigious Bassen Prize
Hey, so I just got an email letting me know that I was the 1st place winner for my school's 'Prestigious Bassen Prize' in philosophy, for my essay on the ethics of the Iraq War. It apparently comes with a small scholarship! Yay me! -
How abso-fucking-lutely horrible.
This is the story of a 7 year old girl murdered - beaten to death with a pipe - by her parents, who were following the fundamentalist Christian child-discipline regime of 'No Greater Joy Ministries.'
