There was ladder-carrying and saw horses and hammering sounds, but when I went outside after they left I saw no changes. :\

Boy howdy. They didn't even knock on the front door to say "hey, we're here now to do whatever it is we were hired to do, don't freak out or anything". I'm definitely mentioning it to Dad when he gets home.

Well, I'm used to the people who come over to do any sort of maintenance thingies when I'm here letting me know they're there, but then I don't remember the last time anyone showed up to do anything remotely roofy or whatever they were doing. ^_^;
