I would complain about the weather (snow storm on Thursday and a Northeaster this weekend), but I don't plan on setting one foot outside until Monday.

It's old news that SUP bought LJ. Remember how I poked fun at the people freaking out over the "Commies buying an American company"? They might have been right. Perhaps the purges have already begun

Not setting foot outside might be a good idea. We braved a scant coating on the road today and almost died. We were in the fast lane, with only two tire tracks cleared, and we had a very slight curve in the road. It was slicker than it appeared. The car slid across the entire highway. I had no idea where the other cars were, and was positive we were going to smash into someone in another lane. We cleared all the lanes, only to nearly crash into the concrete of the underpass and a sign just as the spin turned us to face the wrong way. At one point I was staring straight at a car in the slow lane heading straight for us. Rachel whipped a miracle out of her ass and pulled us out of the spin to face the right way and drive straight on as if nothing happened. We all found Jesus today. He hides under the floor boards, or something.

As for the possible purges? That makes me foam at the mouth! RAWR! How dare they piss on my fun! If this is serious and not the paranoid fantasies of instigators.

Yikes, that sounded pretty scary to go through. I'm glad you two avoided an accident. It's still snowing out here, but at least I can be entertained by the people trying to free their stuck cars so that the tow trucks won't tow them. I'd feel bad for them, except for they could have parked in several municipal lots (some with covered
garages, even) last night before the snow started. Oh noes! They might have to walk a couple hundred feet!

But that's entirely too much to ask of people! A couple hundred feet? Might as well be miles! What fuckwits. I'd take covered garage over the open parking. Especially since I just peeked out the window at 6 inches of snow I'll have to clear. And the white shit is still raining down on us.
