I've been sort of boycotting the 2010 Olympics these past couple of weeks. Of course, that's very hard to do when the Olympics are occurring so close to where I live. I support the athletes and everything they've gone through to get where they are. It's a wonderful show of self-discipline, something I wish I had more of. That must've been an exhilarating feeling, seeing and hearing all that cheer :D it's nice to know that people can still celebrate. I wish it wasn't only for the Olympics that we get this way, but it's still awesome to experience that kind of happiness all around.

I've always tried to get into Regina Spektor, but something about her stuff doesn't quite get through to me. I like some of her tunes, but maybe it's her lyrics....or her vocals, I dunno. Nice theme though :)

It really was. It was hard not to join in with the excitement, despite the fact that the excitement was not in my immediate vicinity.
I agree with the Olympics comment, too. It's sad that every day isn't like that.

I've found for a lot of people that it's her vocals. She has a sort of strange sound to her.

That must be a funky feeling for sure, being just on the outside of the action. A good sort of funky feeling though. Maybe the Olympics did us some good in the end :D

Maybe. Not sure. I tend to grow accustomed to vocals, but it's different for her. Meh, to each his own! She's definitely talented though. I'd take her stuff over Feist.

It really was quite funky. If I weren't there I wouldn't have A) known there was a hockey game and) have cared in the slightest. But it was hard not to get caught up in it.

To each their own as always, haha! And ungh, Feist. I have to admit that I like 1,2,3,4, but I honestly can't stand her other stuff. For me, I think it is her vocals.
