Cool! Yep, just a thin coat of gesso (also applied with a credit card) and then once the gesso is dry squeeze a few dots of acrylic paint on and scrape it around. Great fun and efficient if one doesn't want to mess with brushes.
OMG gesso!!! I'm now getting fond memories of the Intro to Painting course I took back in college (at least 16-17 years ago, eek). So glad you found your paints! Love how these look, can't wait to see more!

I do collage work and I especially make Valentines. Doing this to index cards would make a fantastic base for Valentines.
So it's just gesso and then acrylic paint?? :)
