xxxHOLiC AU requests - first batch

Repeating what I said in my 'stuff in the works' post, I have been having terrific fun with these requests. There are *eight* different worlds mixed up in the latest pages of my notebook, none of them less than a few hundred words long. Since there's quite a few to get through, I'll be posting them in batches of a couple at a time as I get them all

See, I've got this problem now where I've gone and written *eight* different universes, any of which I could expand further and several of which I'm awfully attached to. But there's no way I have time to do more than one or two at most, and how am I ever going to pick? But I can promise a little more pirates, at least - and another five worlds left to go.

Therefore, logically, Tomoyo is going to grow up into Dread Pirate Yuuko, yes? XD

^_^ Even if it didn't get requested I knew the pirate one had to be written as soon as I came up with it.

Parrots are just *such* a waste of a shoulder, whereas a fire-breathing pipe fox is one of the most useful pets a pirate could have. Really, Watanuki doesn't understand why every pirate doesn't have one. Except that they're rare as hen's teeth and hardly take to anyone the way Mugetsu took to him. But what kind of excuse is that? No wonder even other pirates cower in fear of Captain Yuuko when they're all so useless. XD

These are both awesome. :-D I especially liked 'Cap'n Yuuko' talking like a pirate. She would so totally get into that! And the rum, naturally.

Vampire!Doumeki's attitude is great -- the whole "what a lot of trouble, but at least he's not boring" is vastly amusing.

And PifflePrincess world -- still too busy giggling to be coherent. Tomoyo seems like a cross between Yuuko and Himawari -- at least in the way Watanuki reacts to her. And I love Doumeki's real job, which will be a considerable challenge. I suggest he stock up on sedatives. I really hope you do feel inspired to write more in this world!

I may have mentioned there was this brief period of indecision when I started the Pirate world when I considered leaving Yuuko out and letting Watanuki be captain - but I think we can all agree Captain Yuuko is far too terrifying to give up. XD

Vampire!Doumeki almost worked too well. He's got eternity to waste and doesn't really care one way or the other about it, but Watanuki still had him fascinated enough within one meeting that he hardly even stopped to think about saving his life later on. Even if he has the rest of forever to look forward to, he doesn't waste opportunities.

PifflePrincess world Tomoyo has Watanuki under her thumb - he may be even more doomed working for her than he ever was with Yuuko. Sedatives: not a bad plan, but that would mean Doumeki would have to carry him home, and that's just too much work. As for more - well, you may just be in luck there. ^_~
