I had two friends dating each other. An engineer and an english major. The male engineer told the female english major that if she didn't start taking more higher level math courses he didn't know what they'd have to talk about. He was a little awkward, but honest I guess
During a talgument, she voiced her concern over her body shape citing that she worried about her calves. His honest response was, "Really? I thought you'd be more worried about your thighs." He really believed this was the best thing to say.

i had a guy tell me something similar once actually along the lines of *you're so pretty - shame about your big thighs* and I fired back something along the lines of *shame about your small dick - it's a tough world*
