I found Buzzer Beat kind of dull and wanted to throw things at the screen over what they dud with Aibu Saki's character, but I do appreciate Yamapi being in a drama where he actually smiles! (And all the gratuitous shirtlessness didn't hurt either.) And there was an awful lot of cute...

Aw, I'm sorry you didn't like it! It was definitely a more laid-back drama, but the cuteness (and all the kissing and cuddling, omg) was enough to pull me through.

Yamapi is a stone-faced overrated pretty doll. Aibu Saki is hateable no matter who she plays.

I also have to disagree about the kissing, because those suckers were going at it at least once an ep. If it wasn't Natsuki and Yoyogi, it Riko and Naoki, and IIRC even Kawasaki sneaked in some action...

When will you watch "Atashinchi no Danshi"? IT'S SO AWESOME!!

I watched the first ep, got distracted, and then everyone on my flist spoiled everything that happened between the OTP, so by that point it felt like I'd seen it anyway. XD

buzzer beato! cute cute cute! this was soo adorable, despite the meh of the latter eps. i about keeled over in shock at the first kiss, and then they just kept coming! kissing and cuddling and spooning! i have to admit though, naoki was adorb but i was just :(((( at how lifeless and dead pi has become. i mean, what? i was so in love with him after kurosagi + nobuta, but even the obscene attractiveness of his face and his abs and his moobs couldn't distract me from his lifeless acting. poor keiko, it was like she was emoting against a plank. oh but keiko!!!! &hearts &hearts i was just so in love with her gorgeous long legs and long hair and cute teeth, and i LOVE it when the women make the first move and are ballsy like that, she was so qt. ^__^

oh lol, aibu saki! i detested her in zettai kareshi but BB made me love her, she was so hot and badass. i remain a bit disturbed by how groomed she always looks, though.

Oh man, Keiko and her shiny hair, I took a thousand caps whenever she walked or ran and it was flowy and fluttery down her shoulders or in the breeze. *___* And did you notice the director's butt fetish? I swear, every other scene was filmed from behind with closeups of Keiko's ass in those tight tight capris that must've been painted on.

And all the TOUCHING! And it was never a big deal requiring a ballad or constant slow-mos, it was just sweet and natural and PERFECT, like an arm around her shoulders or bodily picking her up. UNF. ♥ ♥ ♥

lool, i actually.. didn't? i was distracted by the stuff bookending it okay, like i said the legs and the hair!! :'( she is glorious, her and yamapi being an IRL otp fills me with so much glee, especially because for ages and ages i didn't realise it wasn't just a rumour.

ikr! it was actually kindof funny because when naoki kissed saki it was the usual dead fish thing and i was like oh here we go, it'll be the same with riko. but then it wasn't!! and dead fish kissing was part of the plot!! it was all so natural and normal not just the kissing, like riko was a total romantic but after the kiss when naoki was failing at it and picked her up that was also like typical malefail, and then she was like eee no put me down, and that was realistic, too, and funny to boot. ^_^

Eeee, I really liked Buzzer Beat! My husband and I watched it together and went "aaawwww!" at all the cute. He did make fun of me for watching the intro, however. Hmmmm. Yamapi's shoulders. *cough* I think he called it "shoulder porn" which is about accurate, really.

I absolutely adored Mai! Riko was cool, but Mai was feisty and awesome and she and Shuji were just the sweetest thing ever.

Hahahaha! The one in the first ep? I think those few moments were responsible for hooking at least 90% of all viewers.

Mai was the first time I've ever liked Kanjiya Shihori, it was kind of boggling.

Oh! The OP? I think I'm getting BB confused with Code Blue, which also opened with Yamapi dramatically putting on a shirt. Never say Japan doesn't know how to attract an audience.

She was also in Love Shuffle and Massugu na Otoko and her characters were EXTREMELY annoying, so BB was a pleasant surprise.
