More like theories, it's trying to bring what I'm researching to TRC. But it's just for fun and I'm not believing a word of it, even if I'm the one inventing this XD I'm 90% sure they picked that rune because it's the solar one and that was pretty and never gave it much thought. They don't really care about being faithful to their influences, after all. See: their Hindi-esque religion, their version of Korean folktales, their Christian-esque apocalypse, their Japanese youkai... yeah, could go on.
But don't get me wrong. I like references to myths and obscure shit without following anything. I mean, I have a fandom with fucking wolf as a sun goddess' avatar, and another with the god of chaos and deceive playing detective AND magical girl. Like I care about that :DDD Actually, I much prefer Shin Shunkaden to the original legend. So I'm not criticizing CLAMP or expecting anything to be more than it is
