To not go into too much detail, Evan and I have reconciled. This has put a great strain on my relationship with both my family and close friends. Yuck, job hunting is pretty soul-sapping (was doing it myself until fairly recently - now employed at last, hooray). I guess the only real tip I have is to try and stay as removed from it as possible, just treat it like something you have to get done and try not to let it rule your life. I hated trying to make myself sound ideal for each and every job but treating it a little like writing an essay worked well (and the word count each time was lower than any essay I've done, score!).

Thanks! I think that's sound advice. I keep trying to think of my resume as someone else's resume. That way it's ten times easier to analyze. I could write a resume for someone else MUCH faster than I can for myself.

And cover letters. Jesus. I hate being a grown up.
