How About No More Drinking at Meetings?

I purchased Watchmen last week or whenever it came out and have been watching it repeatedly since then, taking breaks for Dollhouse and some Dr. Who. I don't really understand Dr. Who love. I like the show alright, but I can go either way. It never seems to go deep enough for me, but the same could be said for Torchwood. The difference between ( Read more... )

I did get the director's cut. I wanted as much as possible. There isn't a lot of difference, just subtle things that I personally think enhance the story. I'm sure for people who don't know the comic the director's cut would probably be useless, but for people like you and I who love the original comic I think it's totally worth it (for instance, it includes the death of Hollis, which is terrifying but still wonderful at the same time ( ... )

Yeah, Star Trek has ruined me momentarily. I'm watching the original serieso online quite consistently and buying up a bunch of the books. It's sad, but what can I say? It was AWESOME. The original series was always my mother's Star Trek and was something I liked due to her influence and the few movies, but I'd never seen the series itself -- I was a Next Generation girl. It's like I'm discovering stuff I already knew, in a way, and it's lovely.

Captain Jack is awesome! I adore him. I thought it was interesting to see him as Torchwood!Jack and then Doctor Who!Jack. They are different people, that's for sure.

Oh god, yeah, the uneven storytelling is awful in Torchwood at times. But some of the episodes just rip right through me. I liked second season as a season better than I liked the first, but my favorite episodes are in the first (I love 'Countrycide" and "Captain Jack Harkness" and whatever that damn fairy one was...I was TERRIFIED OF THE DAMN FAIRIES ( ... )

I have heard of Epitaph One, but not yet watched it.

I got the first disk of Dollhouse and sadly the two episodes I've seen were on it. Fortunately I get more next week. I'm really enjoying it. That it's practically becoming a BSG reunion amuses me too.

Oh for 4 weeks without school (minus the paper I'm "writing" today that's due tomorrow), so many good things to watch!

I've been avoiding writing- I'm more visual, so I see it more than hear it- does that make sense? I was made for television. I have 50 million things bouncing in my head, but I can write for anything that is continuing...b/c it become AU more than normal all too soon and new ideas come. I figure eventually they'll stop ranting at me...the ideas don't let me sleep much.

Epitaph One is GOOD FOR YOU.

And speaking of BSG, Jamie Bamber is set to appear in Season 2!

I'm just now watching The Guild. I mean, my love for Felicia comes from Dr. Horrible so I'm not only getting my feet wet in that pool, I just didn't know I had MORE ACCESS TO HER. So yeah. I fucking love her. And I totally want to date her avatar.

I tried watching Watchmen, but it was 1am and I was tired and I was with a group of people who like to talk through movies and I didn't really follow it at all. I'll have to give it another go.

The Guild is amazing. I adore it utterly and completely. That makes me love Felicia Day (I loved Dr. Horrible but not her character all that much) so much! I mean, talk about someone who can do it all. It's nuts.
