Yesterday I went to see "Beastly" with Johnna. The movie is a modern take on "Beauty and the Beast". It was a nice little movie. Neil Patrick Harris was a wonderful comic relief. The theater room couldn't help but giggle everytime he spoke ( Read more... )

Thank you!

I did good... until the last three songs. I didn't know them. So I played excessively quietly during two of them, and forfeited playing at all during one of them.

I was pretty exhausted being up on stage for two hours. Heh... But I enjoyed it. And the bellydancers were distracting!

Do you just like the look of that new Camelot series because it's filmed in Ireland? :P Although it does look pretty awesome, I have to say. Oh! OH OH OH! Just watched the trailer and IS THAT JAMES PUREFOY I SPY?! <3 <3 <3 Yes. Get it on DVD and I will watch it with you when I visit. XD I love me some James Purefoy...

Squee!! Good luck for today, I hope it goes brilliantly!

:O Is it filmed in Ireland? I had no idea! All the more reason for me to watch it!

And, why yes it is James Purefoy. *grins*

It did go well. I did good up until the three last songs, because I didn't know them. Otherwise I was able to keep up with them. I did, however, learn that Katara actually has a CD out. -.- Had I have known beforehand, I would have been able to practice to the songs better! *sighs* I'll ask Rune for one on Wednesday. But like Richard told Rune, I have a pretty good grasp of the rhythm and when the breaks are. So yay!

I didn't do "great" (according to me... according to everybody else, though, they think quite the opposite), but I did "good" for somebody who had never performed doumbek along with a band on a stage, before, and had probably only about three or four rehearsal sessions in.

I stopped feeling nervous about 2/3rds of the way in. Heh. And by the time we were done playing two hours later, I was exhausted.

But practice makes perfect, and I know that I will keep bettering myself as time goes by. :) In the meantime, I'm satisfied with my "good" performance... Minus the last three songs. Ugh.
