Yesterday I went to see "Beastly" with Johnna. The movie is a modern take on "Beauty and the Beast". It was a nice little movie. Neil Patrick Harris was a wonderful comic relief. The theater room couldn't help but giggle everytime he spoke.
Anyway, before the movie, we watched the previews. Two of them in particular caught my attention, both of them oddly enough being TV series. The first one is "Camelot".
http://www.starz.com/camelot/I really don't have to say much about this.
The second one is "The Borgias".
http://www.sho.com/site/borgias/You have NO IDEA how much this excites me. BECAUSE OF ASSASSIN'S CREED. Assassin's Creed II features Rodrigo Borgia, but Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood also features Cesare and Lucrezia and a slew of other people that I know a lot about BECAUSE OF ASSASSIN'S CREED. Who says you can't learn anything from videogames?!
I am so freaking excited about that series. I'd like to see both of them. Unfortunately I'll either have to watch it online or wait for the series to come out on DVD, because I don't have Starz or Showtime. I'm not sure how much it would cost to add them to my channel repertoire, but I'm sure it's not worth it. But you never know. I might look into it.
As I was leaving the theater (Emagine in Canton. My first time there), I got lost in the massive maze of a parking lot, and eventually found a Guitar Center! My eyes went wide, and I suddenly came to the realization that my knowledge of where a Guitar Center is is dangerous on my wallet. So I told myself to keep driving. XD
Went straight to Farmington. Hung out at Off The Beaten Path, and, eventually Rune and Richard showed up, and we rehearsed until 10:30PM.
Today is the big day. We leave for Toledo at 10AM. Rune has a workshop at 1PM, and I hop on stage with Katara at various times throughout the night from 4PM on. Somewhere in there is the doumbek composition we've been working on for forever and a day.
So nervous!
