Stolen from Sari, of course.
Put your MP3 player on shuffle, and write down the first line of the first twenty songs. Post the poem that results. The first line of the twenty-first is the title.
Don't give up, it takes a while.
Dark horizons come close to me
There was a man that knew too much
Adam lay ibounden (ibounden = "in bondage" in medieval lyric)
Slithering towards the dream
Reaching over, life to life
I will break into your thoughts
If you want to live, let live
Hello sunshine
Let my spirit ride on a one way mule
I have nothing left to give.
Voie sans fin ("Endless road" in French)
I had visions, I was in them
I was a ghost from outerspace
Sit tight, I'm going to need you to keep time
I wanted to be friends with her too
What if I were you and you were me
Hello little boys, little toys
Don't tread the water, just stay still
When we were together I was blown away
You say our love is like dynamite.
Not a bad poem, if I do say so, myself! I skipped all the instrumental songs, obviously. There were a bunch of them, holy crap. And speaking of instrumental songs...
Thad: *coming into my office, and gasps* You're cheating on Mark!
Me: I am not cheating on Mark.
Thad: Yes you are. You're listening to Jenny play "The Dance Of The Polar Bears".
Me: "Catharsis" isn't "The Dance Of The Polar Bears".
Thad: Then which one is?
Me: "Eisbarentanz" is. "Catharsis" is "Emotional Release". There. I redeemed myself, so I'm not cheating on Mark.
Thad: You still are, you're still listening to Jenny.
Me: Mark was a part of E Muzeki, too, silly goose! Besides! The music was randomized!
Sheesh, it's not like I was listening to Circa Paleo, or anything... *smirks*
