FUTBOL!

WORLD CUP STARTS TOMORROW! I'm not a regular soccer fan, but I loooooove the World Cup and how the different cultural neighbourhoods across Toronto go crazy after their country wins a game. The whole world tunes in (except for North America, because we're losers like that) for this one sport and no other sporting event gets this many viewers ( Read more... )

I wish the US was into soccer as the rest of the world, because the way other countries react to the World Cup seems like so much fun.

*nods* In complete agreement about Dana's hair.

I wonder why North Americans aren't as passionate about soccer as the rest of the world. The US is big on baseball and football (and Nascar?), Canada's predominately a hockey country, but I do hope one day, we can join the world in their insanity. =)

I forgot that Dana changed her hair between season 1 and season 2, and my jaw dropped when she first appeared in the premiere because DAYUM. Girl looks good.

I just turned on my tv and Coasta Rica scored, and when OMG! Then I went downstairs to get food, and I missed Germany's goal! It's 2-1 right now. I'm rooting for Coasta Rica just because they're the only Central America team there.

Filliam H. Muffman never stops being hilarious and awesome. Muffman reminds me of muffin though.

And I completely spelt Costa Rica wrong. Not sure where that extra 'a' came from. *smacks head*

FILLIAM H. MUFFMAN!

I swear to you, I so want to name my son (should I have one) that. Perhaps I'll just name my dog that. When I get a dog. I could see a golden retriever or similar being called Filliam H. Muffman, couldn't you?

Also, the Dating Plan is lame as fuck, but it kind of fades away as the season progresses. :D

BEST IDEA EVER. You MUST get yourself a dog just so you can say, "Come here, Filliam H. Muffman! Stay, FHM!"

The Dating Plan is such a moronic plan after a hot Casey/Dana kiss. I have a hunch that Sorkin had no idea how to deal with a long-term Casey/Dana romantic relationship, so he threw in some lame plotline to keep them apart.

That's basically it. And that's kind of why I'm glad that Josh and Donna never got together while he was writing the show, because I don't think he has any idea how to write actual relationships, you know? I mean, there's Josh and Amy, but that's the most of a relationship on the show, you know? And that was a fairly minor storyline in the scheme of things.

Oh man, I wish I was in England right now just so I can experience the festive atmosphere! It must be absolutely crazy when they win a game. I have an England flag lying around at home somewhere that we put up on our car during the last World Cup (people hang a mini-flag on their car of the team that they support in Toronto), but my dad has no idea where he stored it, WTF.
